Hi, my name is Melva Rene! I am a wife, mom to twin toddlers, fur baby parent, and business owner. My life is full of personal and business responsibilities that easily cause my days to run from dawn to dusk. After having my twins, my daily life quickly spiraled out of control as I tried to meet my family's and business's needs. The needs I swiftly neglected were my personal needs and desires. With so much on my plate, I put anything I needed or wanted on the back burner due to exhaustion. To say I didn’t recognize my own reflection in the mirror would have been an understatement. Not only had my fashion style turned into what can best be described as frumpy comfort, but my home reflected a dated, neglected decor. A friend once told me that it is important to create spaces where you live/work that make you never want to leave. Dressing in a way that gives me inner confidence is also important. This blog is my journey in updating my home into a functional decorated space where I find comfort/peace and curating my personal style. I hope my blog can inspire you in some way!
